Prominent Social Issues and Technical Aspects in the Novel Shajarah Al-Buʾs by Ṭāha Ḥusain

Abstract

Taha Hussain was one of important figure in that Era who enlightened the society through his novels and presented the solutions of the social issues found in Egypt. He wrote many novels such as Al-ʾAyyām, Duʿāʾ Al-Karawān, and Shajarah Al-Buʾs, etc. This research aims to find out how taha Hussain highlighted the social issues and gave the proper solution through the novel Shajaratul Bu's.I started my research by history of novel in Egypt and then shown some aspects of Ṭāha Ḥusain life. After these highlighted social issues which discussed in novels such as women issues, educational issues, lower middles class society issues and its solutions. At the end of this article, technical elements of the novel such as: characters, events, structure, and language have been discussed.
